## Summary

Farcaster, described here as a Web3-native social protocol nicknamed "the purple app," is characterized by a wallet requirement and invite-only access that the article says protects against spam and bots. The author, based on an informal scroll of one feed in June 2023, notes that many posts, or "casts," are technical because of the platform's higher concentration of developers. The article stresses that this sample is unscientific and that its observations depend on whom the author follows.
