## Summary

The author argues that Farcaster, a decentralized social network, is an example of a "scenius," a term Brian Eno coined for the collective intelligence of a cultural scene, and that it is the ultimate one. The writer, who first encountered the concept at Gene Kim's DevOps Enterprise Summit, cites Farcaster's proliferation of about 50 apps, its open protocol, and its community practices such as mutual appreciation and tolerance for novelty. The writer says the community's values of candor, intellect, curiosity and truth, if sustained, will unleash more innovation than can be imagined today.
