## Summary

This is a video description for a talk by Martin Kleppmann of the University of Cambridge, Inc & Switch, given at Local-First Conf. In the talk, Kleppmann says he will review where the local-first idea came from, where the local-first community stands now, and what he hopes it can work towards. He notes that he and colleagues published the local-first essay five years before the talk. The description also promotes the conference's community channels and lists sponsors including DXOS, PowerSync, Rocicorp, and CrabNebula.
