Ethereum people should not feel a need to justify the inadequacies of the present.

Justifying the present is a natural thing to gravitate toward when one feels powerless to build the future.

But we are building the future.

**tim**: That sure is a lot of new stuff to be built actually. It‘s kinda funny because I almost seem to feel entitled about being at the end of the L2 scaling roadmap. But honestly, if I look at what has to be done to make L2s truly great, then it becomes clear that this is a few years and a lot of hard work out!
