## Summary

Pump.fun, a Solana-based memecoin platform, has seen users stream shock videos, including self-harm, animal cruelty and explicit sexual content, to try to raise their tokens' market capitalization, and the platform has paused live streaming in response. The article says the crypto community, particularly on X, has largely criticized the shock content, and that most tokens tied to such themes struggle to reach significant market capitalization. Pump.fun founder @a1lon9 wrote that the platform actively moderates illicit content, including live streams. Hours after initial publication, Pump.fun said it was pausing live streaming indefinitely until its moderation infrastructure is ready.
