## Summary

Crypto exchange Bitpanda has received a MiCA license from Germany's regulator BaFin, while rivals OKX and Crypto.com have received accreditation from Malta, letting them operate across the European Economic Area. The MiCA rules took effect at the end of last year and let license holders operate across the EEA without separate approval from each country. Bitpanda, based in Austria, had 6 million users in December and said it will use the license to accelerate growth. Boerse Stuttgart Digital, MoonPay, BitStaete, ZBD and Hidden Road have also received MiCA licenses.
