A random selection of submitted projects was reviewed, though it is not representative of all entries. Examples include 4V4, a 3D avatar platform minting avatars on Scroll zkEVM; Desync, a zero-interest lending platform still in development; and Transakt, which offers cGHS, a digital currency backed 1:1 by the Ghanaian Cedi. I didn't end up submitting, something i rue now actually having gone through many of the above. But I didn't feel i'd attended enough of the events and/or that the app was sufficiently finished after six weeks. That being said it was a great experience to be a part of nonethess. I built snel - a super lazy pointless agent who was originally meant to be multichain and enable a bunch of defi actions. But after circa 200 commits struggling with aggregators & bringing snel to life reliably across farcaster, my frontend and telegram we had a chat and she decided she is now going to be solely focused on stablecoins. Seems like most projects were focused on the same things as other L2s: yield aggregators, stuff for AI agents etc. Wondering what could be built on Scroll to fully use its zkEVM capabilities. **auditless.eth**: The irony about zkEVMs is that if you use Solidity/EVM zk translates mostly into different performance tradeoffs but little new "qualitative" improvements. Some examples of where that is not true when you use a different zkVM: - Noir has built in support for privacy - Starknet has Rust-like semantics in Cairo + the ability to build smart contracts on Bitcoin There are some small differences in the "cost function", e.g., zkSync uses state diffs like Starknet which results in cheaper computation relative to optimistic rollups but there haven't been meaningful differences in the app layer as a result yet (but that may change with time).
