# Retro on Sound.xyz

Source: https://xcancel.com/dgreenstein1/status/1841130217038876879

We built two tools for artists:

1. @soundxyz_ - A music marketplace.
2. @vaultdotfm - A platform for artists to directly reach their fans, without relying on social algorithms or paid advertising

Here’s an update on where Sound is, and why we’re building Vault.

## Comments

**macbudkowski.eth**: I somehow missed that Sound.xyz is not being developed anymore, and that David focused on a new project for musicians. Hope that Sound will one day get back, the product was pretty cool.

**timdaub.eth**: Why submit this btw? It is from Oct 2024

**macbudkowski.eth**: Because I missed that despite being into music NFTs and I thought that other Kiwis might've missed that, too.
