# @0xQuit: how leaving my day job for web3 changed everything

Source: https://vxtwitter.com/0xQuit/status/1922819472680943693

I was always hesitant to work full time in web3. My day job was my hedge, something reliable that allowed me the freedom to play in web3 at night and on weekends.

I eventually realized that I was wasting years of my life working a job I didn't enjoy, all in the name of "safety". When I quit to join Yuga two years ago, the difference was night and day.

I haven't worked a day since.
