## Summary

Vitalik Buterin urges opposition to Chat Control, arguing that society cannot be made secure by making people insecure. He says everyone deserves privacy and security for private communications without backdoors, which he describes as inevitably hackable. He also points to a report linked in the post that EU interior ministers want to exempt themselves from the proposed bulk scanning of private messages, which he calls telling.
