FUCK CENSORSHIP. A sad day in the EU. Denmark is pushing us towards universal internet censorship under the guise of protecting children. This morning, Chat Control was passed in the European Council (despite opposition from the Czech Republic). Now, a resolution has been approved in the European Parliament calling for children under the age of 16 to be denied access to the internet.

**mishaderidder.eth**: very sad. protecting your children should start bottom up, not top down. educate them about the internet, start in kindergarten, set your boundaries as a parent, talk with them. this law is also a failure of modern parenthood, when parents are looking for the government to do what they fail to do themselves. (btw i’m a parent and my kids are happy online :) it’s like oh hammers are dangerous for children, let’s make only rubber hammers, instead of teaching children how to handle a hammer.

The machiavellian politics interpretation is that protecting the children is the frontend cause to gain more power over a revolting population. You already eliminate a bunch of dissidents on the matter who are not willing to speak out against „protecting the children“
