# @cassie: VCs said no because we fair launched and didn't give token warrants Source: https://farcaster.xyz/cassie/0x27e897d6 ## Summary Cassie, writing as @cassie, says the project's VC rejections came from its refusal to grant token warrants, a consequence of its fair launch, and from its broad scope rather than a narrow niche. She lists recent launches including a mobile e2ee messenger and Farcaster client with the widest asset support of any built-in wallet, AWS-compatible services, a privacy-capable name service with ZK attestation support, and privacy-preserving AI without reliance on TEE black boxes. She adds that investors did not believe the project would work, and says she will now name the investors who turned it down. ## Article In the past three months we launched: - a mobile e2ee messenger and farcaster client with the widest asset support of any built in wallet - AWS-compatible services with more on the way - privacy-capable name service with ZK attestation support - privacy-preserving AI with no reliance on TEE blackboxes amongst other things that on their own would be a single VC funded startup. VCs consistently said no to us in the early days. Why? Because we didn't agree to token warrants (couldn't if we wanted to, we fair launched). We didn't focus on a small niche that complemented their portfolio. Frankly, they didn't believe it would work either. Well, here we are. And I have an axe to grind, so it's time you know who all these fuckers were. ## Comments **timdaub.eth**: Q has an FC client? How do I get it? **mishaderidder.eth**: It is in early preview on TestFlight called Quorum Messenger. It is one of the parts of Quorum. But you have to input your FC seed to connect, which personally scares me a bit (since it is also early preview). So I have had the app installed for a while but not yet connected my FC account😅 https://testflight.apple.com/join/PPzryGCU
