**timdaub.eth**: Surprising. Never really invested in them or followed what happened. It's pretty surprising that they're already stopping. What happened? I thought token launchpads had PMF

**rvolz.eth**: I had a tiny stake in it but, tbh, lost sight of it after a while. Their reasoning is clear, I think: it died because a bootstrap launchpad in a liquidity recession, with a vanishing software moat and unclear path to sustainable income, is structurally fragile. 

Fey was a pure permissionless launchpad-as-infra on Base; Zora, for contrast, is an entire media/L2 ecosystem where “launchpad” is just one surface. Different scope, moat, and business model.

As they say, the tech can keep running, but the humans operating it can’t justify continuing indefinitely.
