Update on rsETH incident:

rsETH reserves have been paused across Ethereum Core, Arbitrum, Base, Mantle, and Linea.

This was done with the objective of recovering additional funds as the recovery plans progress.

We will keep the community updated on the next steps as the efforts continue.

**timdaub.eth**: I‘m honestly a bit baffled by Aave‘s communications. Because I also don‘t know much about Aave‘s internals. But a statement like this contains somehow very little information and makes me just more confused. What is happening? When I can reuse my ETH again? Am I fucked?

**mishaderidder.eth**: If you supplied plain ETH on mainnet you're very likely fine; Aave is overcollateralized, L1 exposure is partially covered by Umbrella, and even a worst-case 25% rsETH haircut would still be absorbed, though withdrawals may feel sluggish. If you supplied on L2 watch governance closely. The live political fight is whether losses get socialized across all rsETH markets or confined to L2s. This post is deliberately vague since no timeline has been published because resolution depends on Kelp recovery, legal pressure and a DAO vote that hasn't happened yet.
