More interesting Coates is former Twitter trademark lawyer and former general counsel of Twitter pre-Musk era. The idea that Musk forfeited Twitter brand name is of course good start! But it seems to me that it is not an open, federated protocol, or on crypto rails. My guess it's likely a proprietary closed protocol since there is no communication about tech specs. Their messaging emphasizes openness and trust conceptually, but well for now we have to trust them on that ;) I had an epiphany ;) there is no evidence that Operation Bluebird is bidding on Farcaster at Neynar. But the strategic logic is compelling enough that it would be one of the most obvious possible moves and the timing is suspicious enough that it wouldn't be surprising if it emerged as a bidder privately. Otherwise I think Farcaster should be smart and quick and re-brand immediately to Twitter lol. That'll be the day. **misha**: Behind it is Operation Bluebird, Inc. is a Virginia-based startup founded by two attorneys: Michael Peroff (founder) & Stephen Coates (co-founder).
