Oslo, 16 October 2026 We are excited to share that the Eurosky Identity Platform has been officially verified by the Digital Public Goods Alliance as a digital public good (DPG). The Eurosky Identity Platform provides sovereign, EU-hosted identity and data hosting for the AT Protocol, the open network behind a growing ecosystem of social apps. With one account, people can use hundreds of apps and move to any provider whenever they choose, so they keep control of their identity and data. The platform brings together Eurosky’s Personal Data Server, which holds people’s accounts and data; Portal, where people create and manage their accounts; and the Eurosky Migration Service, which lets people move an existing account onto or off the platform. It is fully open source under the Apache-2.0 and MIT licences. DPGs are open-source software, open data, open AI models, open standards, and open content that adhere to privacy and other applicable laws, standards, and best practices, and do no harm. The announcement was made today during the social media breakfast meeting hosted by the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Equality in collaboration with the Fritt Ord Foundation in Oslo, Norway.
