## Summary

Linkcast uses an invite-only system to control spam, where only users on its Trusted Users list can have links appear in the latest and domain feeds. Each member must be invited by someone already on the list, and every invite is public, so inviters are accountable for the people they bring in. The site reports 101 trusted users, 12 invites so far, and 497 links shared since October 22, 2026. If a member is removed for spam, whoever invited them may lose their invites, a model the page says is inspired by Lobsters.

How it works

You're invited

A trusted user vouches for you with one cast.

You share links

They show up in the latest and domain feeds.

You invite others

Invite people you think will share good links.

Inspired by Lobsters, where every member is invited by another. If someone is removed for spam, whoever invited them may lose their invites.
