Buy it in ChatGPT: Instant Checkout and the Agentic Commerce Protocol

OpenAI has begun letting U.S. ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Free users buy products from U.S. Etsy sellers directly in chat through Instant Checkout, which is built with Stripe and powered by the Agentic Commerce Protocol. Over a million Shopify merchants, including Glossier, SKIMS, Spanx and Vuori, are listed as coming soon, and Instant Checkout currently supports single-item purchases, with multi-item carts planned next. OpenAI is also open-sourcing the protocol so merchants and developers can build integrations. Merchants pay a small fee on completed purchases, while the service is free for users and does not affect prices or product rankings.
