What are you excited about at the moment?

I'm learning about how to evaluate companies earnings etc.. I'm watching Martin Shkreli's basic course on finance and investing and it has been super interesting, so far: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBfupwmfhBrWnPtx_5Nm4OvhqmRXdD9AF

I see some potential for me to leverage my exceptional skills as a software developer to then trade or invest in companies with my computer. I'm particularly excited about using AI to do this. But so far this all seems very dangerous or unobtainable. But I'd love to try it and see if it works. Makes my fingers itch

I have an upcoming trip to Prospera at the end of the month and I'm pretty hyped. As someone with close personal connections to Honduras for over a decade I have been following the project since it was just an idea, watched it get shaped and proposed and ultimately get build but this will be my first visit.

I'm a strong believer of Prospera for the betterment of Honduras. Honduras is among the poorest economies in the Western Hemisphere, with significant economic challenges. It has no natural resources or strategic advantages and it has dozens of terrible populist economic policies passed over the last 30+ years, such as paying employees 13 months out of the year (making it hard to hire). It also is lacking rule of law and has a government renegging on contracts which makes it virtually impossible to have foreign investment in this country. Without foreign investment, there is no economy and all of the foreign investment has dried up. To me its the perfect place to make use of a charter city, ZDE, network state or whatever you want to call it. It has policies favorable to Honduras (most employees must be honduran cities) and has the ability to drive massive economic value back to the people of the country. We have already seen Honduran startups related to Prospera receive venture funding, including the first ever venture funding deal for Honduran citizens.

You can't convince me that this is some evil imperial capitalist plot, I believe its something the country desperately needs.

But I'm equally interested in Prospera as a citizen of the internet. They have a local currency (ICC on Solana) and I purchased some yesterday (p2p using ETH) and I paid for my accommodations using ICC. You can spend ICC at vendors in the Prospera area and you get a 20% discount on it if you buy it once on the island. I'm excited to be on the ground and see how this works practically.

Prospera itself is broken into a number of Districts. I was told, one district, Prospera, was heavy into Bitcoin. The other district, a biotech district called Infinita, uses Solana. I was told there is a lack of Ethereum on the island and so part of my visit is to see if there is a way for me to participate and change that.

Could we make the LunarPunk district with a focus on privacy, security and anonymity technologies backed by Ethereum?

And so many other questions to be answered:

- Is this generally a community I want to join?

- What is the time commitment on location of joining?

- I can come one a month or less

- Should I move there full-time

- What opportunities or opportunity costs would be involved in these decisions

Along with the more general observations about how it all works.
