I don't understand the US's double standards when it comes to free speech in the EU (though I'm not defending EU censorship). IMO it's hypocritical of them to criticise the EU for censorship while turning a blind eye to how US companies like Google quietly comply with other authoritarian censorship in countries like China...

I‘m glad they actively try to intervene. I think the double standards apply because Europe and the US are friends. Friends don‘t let friends start a censorship complex
