Haha when I google timdaub.eth, it says that my Ethereum balance is 0.027807948230125459 ETH (my mainnet ETH balance). It's hilarious how late they are to the party that this is now the mainnet ETH balance which has frankly become irrelevant throughout the time they corporate-workedshopped to add this feature

Probably there were like 500 people involved in Google to make it happen, and now updating to L2 balances would take another 2 years :)

It's sad to see the ETH community cheer on the coming surveillance to rip away our freedoms.

Decentralized systems & Cryptocurrency is to resist the banks and big tech,

ETH devs have lost the plot

We aren‘t cheering, have you read our comments?

Cheering at how broke we are on mainnet ethereum.

When people opt for using ENS, it's usually with an awareness that others can see what you do there.

It's "opt-in" loss of privacy.

Of course, Google getting too deep into this blockchain game is a whole different topic...

Yes @naomiii.eth I agree that ENS is opt-in.

The issue is Ethereum is bought on KYC exchanges and there's a privacy crackdown with the payments

And so,
The identity of the speakers on "free speech" protocols is known,

Which makes them targets for non-tech means of stopping the speech
