Internet Archive is now back. Crypto is the real answer tho
1 comment Well, JPG NFT curation platform was fully built on Arweave and this is how it looks now. 😢 https://jpg.space/ Luckily we can recover the front page on Wayback Machine http://web.archive.org/web/20240614180654/https://jpg.space/ Anyway what we need is people taking care of data (like the Internet Archive does), like we take care of artworks and historical buildings, and we should not just rely on technology alone. Be it Arweave or IPFS or just servers, we need people taking care. Running an Ethereum or Gnosis node is also taking care. No nodes validating, no decentralized blockchain. And maybe more importantly taking care is also curating. What isn’t taken care of was maybe not worth it. It signals what has value for future people. |
