Local-first is under appreciated by onchain folks. Most stuff should never hit a blockchain, and should be local-first.

Yes, totally agree.

In a way what is ironic is that if you run a node you have a local copy of the blockchain and all that is onchain locally.

local first software discord, but the circle has a lot less appreciation of both the blockchain ideal and its approach (expensive byzantine consensus etc)
