Creator coins are suboptimal, fight me!

I agree that it is the hidden truth that rollups can only get excited about creator coins because they are earning the fees on the backend.

That said, I do like that Base is tackling a problem of the West, namely that copyright law has virtually become useless to the middle and lower class and that no alternative has been found to work on the internet.

While I would say a lot of the other crypto space is focused on serving non-Western countries (e.g. fixing inflation by exporting USD), I applaud Coinbase for anyways trying to fix one of the biggest problems in the West.

Can you say more about how Creator Coins address copyright law? Haven't thought about this perspective.

Generally speaking, I think copyright protects only those who are known to be able to go into the offensive if their right is breached. Which is the case for a minority of people in the West.

Big companies can defend their franchises with offensive measures, and they are known for being able to defend themselves. Smaller creators, however, cannot afford this protection.

So we need a mechanism where people can still earn a living off of creating full-time and having some kind of way for them to monetize that is not predetermined on being able to pay thousands of dollars in legal fees to make a case for something.

Makes sense and totally agree on that!
