The EU wants to delete blockchains

When deletion has not been taken into account by design, this may require deleting the whole blockchain

Haven't the EU planned to make GDPR more lightweight or even delete it entirely?

Some of these parts are pretty funny when they say that encryption and hashing are not enough. As if storing people's personal data in Google Sheets - as most smaller companies do - provided a great security measure.
