3 comments Sometimes I wonder how much of these things end up money laundering too. Idk imagine u are a druglord and u have a lot of ETH and then u can just buy a ton of memecoin and someone else can cash out a lot of memecoin and whoops yeah that guy there just got all his money from memecoin trading not cartell shit there needs to be some type of accountability (reputation rabbit hole I know) else we are inviting regulation Agreed. It's actually also funny that the EF advertises Ethereum as the "infinite garden" at Devcon, alluding to the idea that we're playing infinite games, and at the same time the prevalent behavior is to set up an anon precisely to just play a single game where you're going to rug those who foolishly trust you. But how do we improve this James? I feel like the latest messaging from e.g. Vitalik is towards privacy and not towards highlighting the importance of accountability and reputation? Wouldn't a fully anonymous space invite even worse behavior? |
