Guess that’s impossible. You could only block CEXs. But maybe I’m missing something.

ZKPassport allows to onboard users by countries. So e.g. there could be a privacy pool for people who have a non Russian passport

The thing is I think they don’t really care, as long as it’s easy. Convenience being the nail to the privacy coffin. Last thing they want to do is scare people away. ZKPassport is great tech in theory obviously, but it’s just not easy accessible to anyone. For example, my passport should scan, but somehow it doesn’t work. So it’s not working for me sadly. Then of course, installing an extra app and going through the whole (still buggy) procedure, for most people it’s too much hassle already. If you can just do a quick in-Discord face scan and that’s it for most that will be fine :/ This is where all the moral panic has brought us - that is the good faith explanation. Governments want more control over social media. Period. It won’t stop here I’m afraid. We have crossed the Rubicon (Australia).

Actually this is a reaction w/ also recent Discord age verification in mind lol.
