@binji: Developer activity signals crypto's critical moment
AI summary of the linked articleDeveloper activity in crypto, described in the post as one of the clearest signals of long-term health, is down meaningfully from its peak, and the author argues the sector needs more support for developers rather than just more developers. The post says attention has shifted, incentives have dried up, and speculation has once again moved faster than utility. It calls for teams that think about end-to-end products, focus on usable primitives, and help projects reach real users, with builders and incubators that take apps from zero to one. The post states that adoption has to be earned and that the next era depends on meaningful things to do onchain that people actually want.

Wow, that looks bad. Wondering how much of this activity was just grants/airdrop farming. I once mentioned rising number of Solana devs in Asia to one guy who's been in the weeds, and he said that many people just did ChatGPT-fueled PRs to farm airdrops and retro grants. On the other hand, even if some of the previous growth was a result such activity, -50% should raise concerns and get people to evaluate what is going on.
