Today we're starting the roll out of the new Farcaster brand. We worked with Primary Studio to refresh the brand in late September. We have a new logo, wordmark, typography, colors and brand elements.   Tbh don't like it. I think rebrand was necessary if they want to go after non-crypto consumers, but their logo don't look cool or funky enough imo. But maybe I'm too old ;) I wonder what it reminds me of. There‘s definitely something, but I can‘t tell right now. Not sure if it isn‘t still too nerdy and inaccessible, because it is too abstract. I think the earlier arch felt a bit like a low effort open source project. This new thing feels a bit like a database, or a military technology. Honestly, not sure where FC should be going towards. I always think smth fun and relatable would be a wise choice. Kinda like the Twitter bird Haha yeah, looks like a logo of a new YC drone startup. I think Twitter-like logo would be perfect 👌  It’s not great well but old one is also not fantastic with the meh neo-classical vibes. but new one looks like they’re going to make sneakers or sportswear I don’t know. I’ll get used to it I guess :) | |
