Channel tokens should emphasize contributors over buyers, and channel success should depend on member quality rather than member count. Jonny Mack reported that nine channels using Hypersub's subscription tokens generated about $14,400 in revenue over two weeks, with 828 paying subscribers. Another wave of channel tokens is launching through far_terminal, with 47 channels creating their own within four days. Current token activity is largely speculative, and proposed alternatives include distributing tokens to early contributors, running points systems, and letting members claim tokens later based on value-added contributions.
