Here is the show that was part of the BOO token launch: https://xcancel.com/bdguan/status/1851626824868233366#m One tweet that Brian made is: > one thing i don't miss about the EVM/base ecosystem is how users would go out of their way to use a whole ecosystem of products, and write posts tagging them all about: > "i loved doing this on X and then seeing it on Y and then adding it to my Z profile, all powered by W! > initially it felt good. "oh positive feedback from users!" i thought naively. "i must be onto something!" > nope its false signal, false hope, fake power users who care more about an ecosystem/their bags than your stupid little project. > the best feedback is targeted, emotional, and often angry. - https://xcancel.com/bdguan/status/1851094793855865275#m To me this is somehow unwise. I'm often making the same mistakes as a founder. I'm being too open and negative/emotional on social media. I agree that it's probably a fair point that ETH people often want to see their bags pumped. Who doesn't? But Unlonely's show and the move from Base to Solana could have also been reach-increasing. After all, Base and Solana are probably mostly full of Degens. They're all the target group here. So why dunk on Base users? I'd actually argue that many Ethereum users have dabbled with Solana already, and so IMO the reach would be higher if Solana was be embraced but Base (narrative wise) integrated too. Dunking on one side is just tribal and isolating. It reduces the reach Btw. if you wanna use regular x.com, just remove "cancel" from the links | |
