One things that makes me skeptical about people following bots is that people predominantly want to follow people. AI can beat humans in chess since 1997 when Deep Blue won with Kasparov. Yet chess fans still are much more interested in Magnus Carlsen games than chess tournaments between AI models, although AI models are objectively much better players than Carlsen. Could it be improved if we give these AI models some personality? So it's not just a faceless model, but a bot with a deep character, and a backstory tension between him and his rival? That remains to be seen. | |
