Conference model = broken? Empty mainstage talks were the result of hundreds of side events that siphon off attention. This is happening more and more at every conf I go to.

I felt that everywhere aside Devcon, also liked the Devconnect model where they embraced the idea that a conference can be just a Schelling Point for people to meet, and they don't need to do talks.

TBH the conference model for ETHDenver has been broken for a long time when them doing this in that horse shit convention center or whatever that is lol
