this ‘announcement’ of Trump might a well be the kiss of death. surprised he didn’t mention USDC lol. in my opinion it serves only to number go up ahead of the Crypto Summit at the White House (not sure how cringe that sounds) and maybe to pump some friends bags.

Trump can propose and advocate for a crypto strategic reserve, actual implementation would likely require congressional cooperation and approval. up till now no US state has fully enacted and implemented a cryptocurrency reserve, though Arizona is closest, followed by Utah and Texas.

but as crypto is permissionless anyone can buy, that includes governments. maybe it would be cheaper to buy first and then to announce? ;)
