Announcing the 2025 Protocol Symposium

The second annual Protocol Symposium, the flagship event of the Summer of Protocols program, will be held online this year with an in-person Protocol Foundations workshop from Sept 12-14 and a weeklong Protocol School from Sept 15-19. The Foundations workshop, limited to 30 participants, aims to seed a multidisciplinary research track toward a formal theory of protocols. The Protocol School, capped at 50 participants, offers a college-level introduction taught by the 2025 teaching fellows and includes 12 short courses. Both events are free but invite-only, with applications due by Aug 22 and invitations sent by Aug 29.
