Antimemetics: why some ideas resist spreading

AI summary of the linked article

This is a book description for "Antimemetics" by Nadia Asparouhova, which argues that some ideas are structurally resistant to spreading, whether because of their complexity, personal discomfort with them, or a lack of incentives to share them. Drawing on historical examples, internet phenomena, and her technology-sector experience, Asparouhova examines how cultural and technological systems shape what enters public consciousness. The book contends that withdrawing from the conversation is not the only option, and that readers can reclaim their attention by noticing what gets lost in the memetic churn. The paperback, published by The Dark Forest Collective, has 168 pages.

Well written book that, from what I can tell by reading the first chapter, covers a wide variety of topics which have been discussed in the crypto space, and on more secluded parts of the researcher internet.

Going to send out a notification for this because I think it is a really high value resource that is worth promoting because those who will e.g. use a reader like Elevenreader and the epub will have a pretty good experience listening to this on, for example, a walk in nature.
