One of the rationales behind an alt Tinder-like Kiwi client, where you could swipe the content. I wonder how much changing the interface would change the way content is consumed. I imagine people would more often read content that has a good image, description, and interesting hook at the beginning. Probably comments would also matter a lot.
I think for news it is headlines that trigger my click behavior. So swiping instead of a list would be tedious and time consuming. What would be great though is that if next to the headline would be a button to blurb out a short AI summary of the article to be able to decide if you should actually go and read.
