Bangladesh celebrate Asian Cup qualification with 7–0 rout of Turkmenistan

Bangladesh beat Turkmenistan 7–0 on Saturday at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, finishing their Asian Cup qualifying group with a perfect record and securing a place in the Asian Cup. Turkmenistan, ranked 141st and 13 places below Bangladesh, were the lowest-ranked side in the group. Sapna Rani Mondal opened the scoring in the third minute, and Bangladesh scored five more goals in a 17-minute spell, with Shamsunnahar Jr scoring twice and Monika Chakma, Tohura Khatun and Ritu Porna Chakma also scoring. Turkmenistan were more organised after halftime, and Bangladesh added no further goals.
