Base, Zora, PGN, and Mode, the Rise of Optimism’s OP Stack and Superchain

Optimism's OP Stack is presented as the blueprint for future Ethereum layer 2 rollups, and its Superchain is envisioned as a network of interlinked OP Chains. The Bedrock upgrade, from which the OP Stack emerged, reportedly cut token swap fees on OP Mainnet by 39% and reduced deposit times from 10 minutes to 3. The Superchain would use a shared sequencer set to enable atomic cross-chain transactions, avoiding bridges, which the text says have lost $2.66 billion to hacks. Chains that opt into the Superchain must follow the Law of Chains v0.1 and contribute sequencer revenue to the Optimism Collective.
