Bright Moments, The Finale Cryptocitizen Collection, Sixty Artists, One Contract

Bright Moments concludes its three-year global tour at the 2024 Venice Biennale with the Finale Collection, which brings together works by over sixty artists on a single contract. In a conversation with Peter Bauman, Bright Moments team members Phil Mohun, Seth Goldstein and Samer Dabra (Spongenuity), along with Art Blocks founder Erick Calderon (Snowfro) and artists Maya Man, Anna Carreras and Piter Pasma, discuss the project's themes of community, randomness and transformation. Phil Mohun says participating artists were invited only if they had taken part in earlier Bright Moments projects. Seth Goldstein describes the minting process, in which collectors receive a random work from a random artist, and Erick Calderon argues that the project shows people can engage with art as communally as they do with sports or music.
