Casting in the Winter

The article argues that Ethereum is in a winter phase and that builders should keep building now rather than chase growth, which it says is not the ultimate measure of protocol success. It presents Farcaster as built on Ethereum, which it describes as the primitive that lets the social network organize and coordinate in new forms, distribute NFTs, and send wallet-based notifications, such as when someone joins a DAO or a social event is arranged by vote. The text says early builders will be recognized as the pioneers of this cycle, while the fleeting visitors and pushy salesmen of the previous phase have passed.
