Core developers are focused on releasing the Fusaka upgrade by the end of the year and choosing headline features for the following upgrade, Glamsterdam. Fusaka will bring cheaper L2 transactions and more data availability through PeerDAS, and it has a target of early November for mainnet if testing goes well, with a post-Devconnect date possible if problems arise. EIP-7907 was removed from Fusaka because it lacked benchmarking and risked delaying the timeline. Glamsterdam headliner decisions are expected by mid-August, and the gas limit has been recommended for an increase to 45M.
