Claude 3.7 Sonnet and Claude Code

Anthropic announced Claude 3.7 Sonnet, which it calls its most intelligent model to date and the first hybrid reasoning model on the market, alongside Claude Code, a command line tool for agentic coding in limited research preview. The model can give near-instant responses or extended, step-by-step thinking that is visible to users, and API users can set a limit on thinking tokens of up to 128K. Pricing is $3 per million input tokens and $15 per million output tokens, the same as its predecessors. Cursor, Cognition, Vercel, Replit and Canva are named as early testers praising its coding performance.
