Gm,

I went to an options intraday trading meetup yesteday and I thought it was very interesting. Has anyone here done it? Do you have resources? How do you manage the risk?

What's on your mind today?

I feel very optimistic about Ethereum lately. It seems that we moved on from the sentiment bottom, and now we can see positive things happening at the EF, in the regulatory space, and in the ecosystem itself.

From all use cases, I'm the most bullish on tokenizing assets and putting ETFs and stocks onchain. Not only because we'd be able to buy them with crypto, but also because we will be able to easily borrow against them, just like we can do with ETH on Aave.

I’m curious today about what Satoshi is thinking about a possible US government BTC stash, essentially making US gov a whale who could make or break the price. Exactly the opposite of why BTC was created, to get money out of government control. Decentralized anarcho-cypherpunk vibes feel farther away than ever. Wish Satohi would come out and make a statement ;)

Bitcoin ETFs already hold about 5% of the supply (https://dune.com/hildobby/btc-etfs), so if the nation states join the chat, it might turn into an institutional coin.

On the other hand, Bitcoin is supposed to be open to everyone, and that includes institutions and governments.

Maybe it is still his vision. I think Satoshi dreamed of a different monetary system with lesser control for politicians over the money supply. Not even Trump can "create more Bitcoins in the US" or "increase the 21M supply." In fact, Trump is utterly incompetent about crypto. He just asked "is it going up David?" to which David replied "yeah grandpa, let's get you to sign this shit and then we'll put you in bed so that you're fresh tomorrow morning."
The future chancellor won't be on the brink of bailout because he can't make a few millions appear out of nowhere.

Satoshi sent the paper to the Cypherpunk mailing list and the Cypherpunks had a distinct idea of how society should be. Was Satoshi a Cypherpunk? Idk, I also sent my ideas on a bunch of platforms and mailing lists. Am I in any ways a representatives of where I used to post my content? Obviously not entirely. It's not the unique defining characteristic of me, and so it isn't defining that Satoshi is a Cypherpunk.

That's the beauty of his anonymity

A completely different topic...

I was thinking it would also be interesting if there was some easy way to submit several tweets/ sources/ posts that add more context to a situation in the same thread, which isn't just aggregating them in a comment.

Not sure how to achieve this, nor do I know if it's something others think makes sense. Just personally, I tend to collect lots of links to tweets and posts when I want to understand one topic or news headline, and having all of them as a resource linked would be awesome.

And then with comments by others, could be cool. Could also be totally infeasible and just me dreaming.

Apart from that thinking about NFTs and storage - as I'm sitting over a writing gig.

I am happy I did random experiments 3 years ago of attempting to find NFT metadata and tracking down image files. I don't think people spend much time wondering where the files actually are. Nor that they could disappear depending on how creators saved them

+1, felt the need for it when there was the EF leadership discussion. It would be useful to just click one tag and see all relevant posts

Naomi, would it help if e.g. we listed all links that were mentioned in comments e.g. above the comment section but right after the story row? That way people could traverse related links under a story
