Dencun: Deneb-Cancun Upgrade

Dencun is the second post-merge Ethereum upgrade, combining Deneb on the Consensus Layer and Cancun on the Execution Layer to improve network performance and user experience. The article says its most important change is the proto-danksharding proposal EIP-4844: Shard Blob Transactions, which aims to lower transaction costs for layer-2 blockchains, one of nine proposals included in the upgrade.
