I think this is too negative and pessimistic. Yeah, you can converse four hours with your robot friend about the problem and get absolutely nothing done, and then figure it out the next day in 10 minutes, but that is just the process of learning. I really don‘t like the negative undertone of this article. I actually use AI to save a ton of time doing mundane things. There are also cases where AI clearly just asks for prompting and then you go do the result. E.g. I‘ve been asking it for a more scientific work out routine and I trust it at face value. Duh, I have to do the work out by myself I agree - I use it for shit i don't want to waste bandwidth on such as analyzing ingredients in skincare (it's pretty great for this esp if you know what products haven't worked for one in the past - I mean that requires a chemistry degree or something these days) or checking if all the guidelines have been adhered to in something I write for an agency. That said, i guess the danger is always when people don't know when it's time to do something oneself and just outsource all of the "learning" or doing. I for one have not doomprompted. | |
