Essential Tools for Ethereum Block Builders

bloXroute's Blockchain Distribution Network and websocket relay streams helped the block builder penguinbuild, according to a post crediting the company for a trial of its services. The builder connected to the BDN received transactions from the mempool about 300ms faster on average and gained access to some of bloXroute's private orderflow. In a test using two identical builders, the BDN-connected server produced 4,801 blocks against 1,362 for the unconnected one, and was 3.5 times more likely to have its block bid approved. Streaming bids over websocket rather than polling reduced latency from 50ms to about 10ms.
