ETHEREUM ROADMAP EXPLAINER FOR THE REST OF US, part 1 This thread will attempt to dumb down @VitalikButerin's series so that even the your average political science major like me can understand it Let's discuss part 1, "The Merge" which happened on September 15, 2022 Why is a roadmap post talking about something from 2 years ago? Because Ethereum was the first truly decentralized proof of stake chain. It has magnitudes more stakers than any other chain. In the past years we have learned things, and also we have seen the system in production, so we can make improvements.
