Ethereum Targets June 1 for Sepolia History Expiry

Ethereum developers have tentatively scheduled June 1, 2025, to begin public testing of history expiry on the Sepolia testnet, a step toward the network's long-term goal of statelessness. The date was confirmed on the May 12, 2025, All Core Devs Testing call, and developers said it is a coordination signal rather than a hard deadline. Geth has already integrated the feature, while Erigon and Nethermind were still reviewing or finalizing pull requests, and clients may enable expiry at their own pace as long as they are ready before the Fusaka upgrade.
