That's very interesting. Any ideas on how we could use it for Kiwi? My rough brainstorming on how to use Frames: 1) Let people sign up for the Kiwi Weekly newsletter directly from their feed - I think I saw Colin doing such an experiment with Paragraph, 2) Have a gallery of OG:Images of TOP5 headlines of the day with a link to Kiwi feed, 3) Create a free Kiwi-themed NFT mintable via Frames. Mhh, I think we should use it in a way where the frame itself increases its virality or where we gain data from Farcasters and it is somehow useful to us. Hard to understand what can be done at the moment that is really compelling. Over time a few useful concepts will probably develop. In any case, we should consider that this is one of those things that fundamentally pulls attention into FC and not onto Kiwi, so I‘m skeptical of its beneficial effect on our site. But I‘m happy to be wrong here. Another related commentary is about how happy I Am knowing that we built Kiwi on a technically sophisticated and not trivially copy-able foundation. They say that good design is invisible and that bad design is annoying. I think the same is true for technical foundations, meaning that we could have based Kiwi more on the Farcaster protocol, and we could have more tightly-integrate Kiwi into the Warpcast experience. But we‘re learning that this space is a red ocean of competition where attention-seeking is incentivized and technical sophistication is an impotent magic spell. The WC team ships like crazy and any integrator is at the mercy of their decisions. Contrarily, Kiwi‘s protocol has stood the test of time until now in not being obliterated by this very productive team (Merkle). In fact, by developing the protocol, we‘ve created our own real estate and the opportunity that comes with it. We‘re free to implement our own primitives and we don‘t have to ask for permission. We can just implement 10k character comments - if we deem that to be useful. It is a super power. I take all that as confirmation that doing the hard thing and building the technical foundation is worth it, and not just a gimmick - as often said. So onto building more of the hard things! upvote via Frame? What do you mean? What do you mean? | |
